High Plains Christmas a huge success
An overflow crowd filled FARM on Saturday to get into the holiday spirit with wonderful music by vocalists from Western Nebraska Community College, soup and all the fixin's, a variety of crafts, fun inside and out and just some good old fellowship. Thank you to all who attended as well as participated in all of the events in Gering on Saturday.

5:30 p.m. Gering Civic Center.
Social hour followed by cowboy cuisine dinner and then a live auction and music by Green Valley Homesteaders.
Tickets are $30 per person and available from any FARM board member or at the museum.
Welcome to FARM......
Located in western Nebraska, the Farm And Ranch Museum offers an excellent look at High Plains agriculture of the past. The feature crops are sugar beets, dry beans, potatoes, ranching, irrigation, dryland farming and conservation tillage.
Summer hours beginning on May 1
Monday - Saturday 9 a.m - 5 p.m., Sunday 1-5 p.m.
Starting Nov. 1, 2011
Winter Hours: Monday-Friday - 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
We will open other times by appointment.

The museum exhibits include feature crops and general agriculture. At various times of the year we demonstrate agricultural practices and hold events. The Library/Archives holds an extensive collection of agricultural books, photos, equipment manuals, equipment literature
and oral histories. The museum Library/Archives holds collections of area farmers and agricultural businesses including Sishc Manufacturing, Lockwood Corporation, Great Western Sugar, and Dutton Implement Company.
